  • 1.2 GHz MSM8x10 Dual Core Processor
  • 4.3-inch Touchscreen
  • FM Radio

Recently Moto E released in indian market as a mid range model, it gets +ve reviews from the indian customers
Moto E is all set to be the gamechanger in the budget android phones battle. Here are the features and reasons you need to remember this for:

Pros:
1. For under 7000Rs, you get Corning gorilla glass, splash proof water resistant coating. Even samsung series mobiles that are close to 20000rs don't provide this. It seriously helps in reducing scratches and adds a premium look to the display as it is glass unlike the plastic covering that you come across in others.
The BUILD QUALITY is the BEST HANDS DOWN!! Coming from an OEM manufacturer, the finishing and the quality of plastic used is way better than the 20000rs+ samsung phones.

2. 1.2 ghz dual core processor, snap dragon 200, though slightly an older model processor, combine this with the 1gb RAM and be rest assured you have a butter smooth interface and browsing experience. AT THIS PRICE RANGE, 1.2GHZ, 1GB RAM, SNAPDRAGON PROCESSOR WITH ADRENO 302GPU IS UNMATCHED!!!

ANDROID KITKAT V4.4 OUT OF THE BOX!!

3. Since the display is covered over by glass (corning gorilla glass), it looks amazingly premium when you hold it in your hands compared to the plasticy looking samsungs and micromaxes.

4. The qHD (540x960) display with 256ppi density is better than Samsung Galaxy Grand series mobiles which retails for around 18000+. and in real life too, the image reproduction is just unbelievably amazing.

5. It also has adreno 302 400hz single core gpu, which can easily take on some of the high intensity games like FLcommander, latest angry birds, etc., though you will finds lags in the super high end games like NOVA 3 or asphalt 8 etc. but unlike the other phones in this range, it will be able to run the apps, but you cannot expect a lag free experience, but it still does the job when you reduce the graphics detail level.

6. The camera: Only rear main camera. 5 mega pixels. No autofocus. No flash. Yet, this is more than sufficient as this phone proves to do a good job even in low light settings. Please note, there is no auto focus and tweaking the settings a little you can obtain grain free, fine quality pictures even in low light. It does take 720p videos at 30fps.

7. The best feature, which even the moto G and X lacks: SD card support!!! expandable upto 32gb!!!. This more than makes up for the lack of OTG support. Please note 4gb of internal storage is given, out of which around 1.8gb will be already utilized for the android system. Expect around 2 to slightly less than 2gb of free internal storage. It is highly advised you book at least a 16gb sd card.

8. The 1980mAh is sure as hell to last an entire day's usage. Please note the battery remains user not-removable as in the case of moto g and x. With a combination of heavy and moderate usage, it lasted easily for an entire day.

9. It supports 3g, 2g, wi-fi connectivity.

10. The speakers are in the front so it doesn't get blocked when you keep it face up on flat surfaces.

11. Beautiful customizable back covers, you can make you own personal statement now. You can be sure of its quality coming from motorola themselves, much like the ones available with moto g.

All other sensors are standard with GPS, magnetometer, proximity sensor etc,.

CONS:
At this killer price, there is really no CONS to be added. Yet, let me point out to things that the Moto e is lacking compared to its elder sibling The moto g:

1. Moto g has a snapdragon 400 quadcore, this is only dual core.
2. No led notification.
3. No flash for camera. No front facing camera!!!
4. No otg support.
5. Graphics not sufficient for really heavy and high end graphics intensive games like NOVA 3, Asphalt 3 etc., though they will run with less specifications on graphics detail.

MOTO e is sure as hell built to last and a sure fire game-changer in the indian budget android market in INDIA!!

Moto G Reviews

Buy Moto G

Its a cheap, cheerful and reliable phone. With such low price one wonders there must be something wrong with it but there isn't. Now every phone has some pros and cons but in this case the cons are very few.
First i will talk about the enormous pros.

Design

The design of moto g is the replica of moto x.Its a tough phone with a good handy size and the back of the phone is a rubber like plastic with a dimple of motorola logo which makes it very comfortable to hold it.It also has a water repellent nano-coating .This doesn't make it water proof, but at least makes it more resistant to the odd spill/splash.

Screen
One of the biggest highlights of the Moto G is its 4.5-inch 720p HD IPS LCD, which works out to a density of 329 pixels per inch i.e sharper than Apple's iPhone 5s, which offers 326ppi.
It has also used Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on the Moto G to protect it from scratches which is usually found on premium devices priced at Rs. 30,000 and above.

Camera

It delivers pretty decent clicks with a 5 mp rear and 1.3 mp front camera with led flash and HD recording. It has a unique feature of slow motion video recording also with other features HDR and panorama.

Processor & Performance

The Moto G is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with Adreno 305 graphics and 1GB of RAM onboard. The performance is great. It doesn't slows down even with 4-5 background applications running.Even when playing a heavy graphics game like Asphalt-8:Airborne it runs very smoothly. And when i performed a benchmark test by AnTuTu it recorded a score of 11,874 which is pretty close to big phones nexus 4 and Galaxy S III.

Software

One of the best features of moto g is that it has the lastest android version i.e 4.4 KitKat and that too with a stock android, stock edition users get the latest versions of Android OS immediately they are out, while customized users have to wait months ??? and sometimes a year (Ahem! Sony.. cough!) to get updates to their device.

Battery Life
The 2070 mAh seems low but actually it isn't in the case of moto g.The battery life of moto g is pretty decent. With a normal usage it lasted about a day and with heavy usage like playing games, movies with wifi/3g enabled the whole time and calling for 2-3 hours it lasted for about 12-13 hours, which was not bad.

What i needed -
1.A tough rugged phone. I am careless I usually carry keys in pocket with phone and scratches makes me feel that my phone is getting old
2. good battery life. I am tired of charging my old phone 2-3 times a day
3. fast processor I am not that much into mobile gaming coz I prefer my PC for gaming purpose still I need a good response when I order my phone to open an app it should do it in blink of eye else its dead mister.
4.I also needed a good display and good sound quality I love music and a little show off among friends,
5 a camera good enough for casual use mostly for instagram and facebook.

What I am getting is -

1. Corning gorilla 3 protection which is scratch proof even if you try to scratch it with keys
2. water resistant (oops I accidentally put my phone with my clothes to wash good lord its alive).
3. snapdragon 400 1.2 gh (I saw reviews on youtube and its almost as fast as nexus 4 that is 25k sometimes it was faster than samsung s4 )
4.display is awesome 326pixels per inch on a 4.5 inch screen and that on an apple iphone 4s its 329ppi on a 4 inch screen Impressive!!! moto g
5.According to one of the reviews in youtube the call clarity in other phones is better but the noise cancellation in moto g is better so I guess it is for me coz i mostly work in noisy surrounding.
6. the camera is not the best but in good light it will give you decent images with bright colors and it records 720p hd so nothing to question.
7. customizable colored covers which will never let you feel bored the color options are really good bright and lively
8.Dual sim - avail the best std and local offers by two service providers
9. the phone gives 50 gb google drive space for 2 years
10 the phone is usb otis compatible you can connect a 32 gb pendrive if extra space is needed(although i dont need it I already spent 50k on my laptop and 5k on an external drive for storage. 13 gig that is available is decent for me )
I think in India we are getting charger and headphones i hope so

what I didn't get
1. NFC(near field communication) only yesterday i came to know what nfc means and believe me you are not going to use it even if you get it so dont waste ur hard earned money unless ur dad is having an audi or a mercedes.
2.expandable memory (boy that really feels but grrr why didnt they just add an expandable slot -_-
3.A 5.5 inch screen well, I am buying a phone not a tab
rest everything is there as far as my requirements are concerned

Cons
The only downside of moto g is that there is no NFC.Although NFC is a pretty cool tech but think about it even if it had would you use it.

Verdict
At this price point, no other phones offer an experience that is as good, so in that sense the Moto G is a game changer.I bought it and i definetly recommend you to get it.

Nexus 5 Reviews

Buy Google Nexus 5

Key Features

  • Android v4.4 (KitKat) OS
  • 4.95-inch Full HD IPS Touchscreen
  • 2.3 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 Processor
  • 8 MP Primary Camera
  • NFC Support and Built-in Wireless Charging
  • Wi-Fi Enabled and 2 GB RAM
  • 16 GB Internal Storage
Rounding off Android perfection and providing the experience that was truly intended by Google when they created the operating system, the Nexus 5 is a beautiful device that packs high-powered hardware with flawless software – a never-fail combination.

Android v4.4 (KitKat) OS
The first ever smartphone that comes with the KitKat operating system, the Nexus 5 provides a smart and simple Android 4.4 for you to work with. Personalization being the keyword, the phone allows you to customize extensively to ensure that your Nexus is uniquely yours.
Go hands-free with Voice Actions that simplifies sending texts, finding photos, using maps and everything else that you can think of doing on a daily basis. A beautiful, full screen experience that is simple and immersive, KitKat allows you to multitask without compromising on accuracy or speed. The phone also collates numbers that you call frequently and searches for matches when you get a call from an unknown number. Talk about intuitive.

Capturing with Clarity
The device from Google comes with an 8 megapixel camera that comes armed with HDR+ technology to ensure that every picture that you click is perfect. The much-loved Photo Sphere also makes it appearance to ensure that you have a 360 degree view of that view from the window that you can relive anytime you want. The phone also sports a 1.3 megapixel secondary camera.
The Nexus 5 is also capable of taking backup of your photos automatically to ensure that you never lose a precious memory while not clogging up phone space. If you are feeling loath to enhance those vacation pictures for family viewing, just run Auto Awesome to create animations, collages and panorama shots from the existing photos in your library. There is also the option of having them turned into memorable videos with music and the works.

Powerhouse Processor
To say powerful would be an understatement for the 2.3 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 Processor with support from 2 GB RAM ensures that you burn through apps without any lag or delay whatsoever. The smartphone comes with the necessary hardware to ensure that you take full advantage of the experience that Google strives to provide Рtapping on an app and drumming your fingers on the table impatiently waiting for it to load is pass̩ with the Nexus 5.

Perfection on Display
With full High Definition and 445 ppi of pixel density, the Nexus 5’s 4.95 inch LCD screen shows you the world as it is. Everything looks great on the IPS screen, from any angle, be it pictures of your vacation or even just the font of the menus – sharper, clearer and denser.

Storage and Communication
With NFC, LTE and Wi-Fi support, being social and in touch is a cinch with the Nexus 5. 16 GB of internal storage at your disposal for anything and everything that you can think of storing within your phone is aided and abetted by access to effective Cloud storage as well. The unit also comes with wireless charging of the 2300 mAh battery that is built-in for convenience.
With the promise of being the first to latch on to further versions of the operating system, the Nexus 5 is arguably the best smartphone of its class.

pros :

a). The processor is a beast. it handles anything very smoothly , without a single lag.
b). the screen is awesome. you would love to watch movies & pictures in this phone. the 4.95 inch screen full hd screen with 445 ppi is the best you can have.
c). adreno 330 gpu does amazing work in handling all the graphics
d). 2gb ram
e) kitkat gives a wonderful android experience
f) camera is good , may not be the best in low lighting otherwise good, specially after the update . The HDR+ feature works very nicely.
g) if you love gaming , then you will love the phone .
h) reading news & magazines feels great in this phone due to the large screen with high resolution.
i) it is very light . back panel gives a nice grip.

cons

a) the major con is the battery. it has a battery of 2300 mah , which is normally good. but this phone has a 5inch screen with full HD, so the sreen drains a lot of battery. nexus 4 had 2100 mah battery. Nexus 5 should have a maor jump in battery. LG G2 has a 3000 mah battery which has the same processor & a 5.2 inch screen. Something like that would have been better. But it still manages to give backup for nearly a day.
b) auto brightness of the phone works too well. it gives you more brightness than required , eventually draining your battery
c) the speaker sound is very clear but a bit low. could have been better.
d) auto rotation feature of screen sometimes doesn't work that well, it is very rare though.

TIPS for saving battery

1) switch off wifi scanning(this is a feature to scan for wifi even if the the wifi is off)
2) don't use auto brightness , use manual instead
3) switch to 3G/2G if you are not using LTE network
4) turn on locations(GPS) only when required.
